HR Compensation Analyst

Seeking an HR Compensation Analyst for a client opening in Buffalo, NY.

Essential Duties

  • Provides specialized analytical and system support for the Corporate Compensation function.
  • Utilizes databases and technology systems to facilitate compensation related processes.
  • Serves as the primary administrator of the performance management system.
  • Prepares and/or disseminates management reports.
  • Prepares job descriptions; conducts and /or participates in compensation surveys.
  • Coordinates salary administration related processes including Performance Appraisal Merit/Incentive and Custom incentive administration.
  • Configures tests and maintains system set up within the of performance management application.
  • Prepares analyses related to base salary and incentive internal and external practices.
  • Prepares and disseminates a variety of HR related management reports
  • Prepares compensation reports and analyses; assists in the preparation and analysis of salary surveys.
  • Develops/prepares letters communications and documents relative to merit and incentive payments and benefit plans.

HR Compensation Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (Business Administration, Human Resources)
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree requires 5 years of experience in an analytical or compensation function.
  • In addition to education requires 2 years in an analytical function preferably in Human Resources.
  • Prior experience in compensation analysis or as a Performance Management system administrator preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with intermediate proficiency to include the ability to use email create meaningful analyses set up spreadsheets create formulas and manage databases.
  • Ability to understand and navigate HR related applications.
  • Ability to provide accurate comprehensive reports and data formatted in a clear concise manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and/or problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
