Help Desk Support Specialist / Technical Support Specialist
Pittsburgh, PA (Indianola)

The ideal candidate will have a BS, and 1 years help desk experience along with Linux knowledge.

The Help Desk Support Specialist will work on a team that provides in depth technical support to internal and external customers for software products while driving improvements in response time, first time fix rates, and overall productivity. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers via phone and email support 
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Ticket logging and escalation 
  • Assisting with software upgrades 
  • Technical Implementation Support; Provide accurate information on IT products or services

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's Degree in information technology, information systems, or related field required 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 1 years of experience in the following:
    • working help desk, support center or call center
    • experience with system monitoring and proactive service 
    • Linux 
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop a thorough understanding of technical architectures; 
  • Ability to work independently; 
  • Ability to work effectively with remote cross functional teams on complex problems; 
  • Excellent verbal/phone and written communication skills required; 
  • Knowledge of ServiceMax and Axeda
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

PREFERENCES

  • 1 years hands on experience with network setup and troubleshooting preferred; 
  • Understanding of field service repair processes preferred
