We have an opening in Harrisburg, PA for an IBM DataPower Adminstrator.

The IBM DataPower Administrator will be responsible for deployment, configuration, and application integration of XI52 DataPower appliances in Pre-production and Production environments.

The DBA will be part of a team that supports the following technologies:

  • Microsoft Windows 2008 R2/2012 R2 servers
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • SAP BusinessObjects server
  • VMWare

Essential Functions

  • Configure Web service proxy for SOAP & REST based web services using DataPower
  • Monitor, tuning and troubleshooting DataPower issues
  • Configure and support dynamic routing
  • Configure AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Auditing) in DataPower
  • Configure load balancing in DataPower
  • Configure SSL/TLS connections
  • Manage the deployment of XSLT, XSD’s and WSDL’s
  • Configure DataPower with third party Single Sign-On technologies like CA’s SiteMinder
  • Conduct research on emerging IT Technologies that will increase cost effective and infrastructure flexibility.
  • Install DataPower firmware updates as needed
  • Work with IBM support for problem resolution

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience including the following:
    • IBM DataPower administration, performance tuning, monitoring, and implementation of best practices including high availability (3 years)
    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience(4 years)
    • Experience in implementing Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, SSL in DataPower (2 years)
  • Good communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft SQL Server administration
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2 administration
  • SAP BusinessObjects administration
