Level I Help Desk Specialist
Pittsburgh, PA

This is a contract to hire opportunity for a Level 1 Help Desk Specialist with a client located south of downtown Pittsburgh.

Essential Functions of the Help Desk Specialist

  • Remotely troubleshoot, configure and address end user problems with workstations, servers and other devices.
  • Complete documentation of issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Maintain a solid working relationship with field services team.
  • Provide direct management with feedback on customer concerns and process improvement suggestions.

Qualifications of the Help Desk Specialist

  • 2-to-5 years of help desk experience
  • Warranty certifications- desktop, laptop and printer devices used in the business environment (IBM, Lenovo, HP, Canon, Samsung)
  • Must have MCTS on Vista/Windows 7
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong troubleshooting and follow-through capabilities
  • Must be willing to participate in training and testing and to acquire needed certifications.
