Technical Support Engineer
Pittsburgh, PA

Currently looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to fill a contract opening with a Pittsburgh, PA based company. Interested candidates must have strong customer service orientation and 2+ years of technical support experience in the areas of hardware and SQL software support.

Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer

  • Provide post implementation technical support for software applications and solutions.
  • Respond to incoming customer calls, emails, or internet requests for technical assistance.
  • Participate in a 24x7 356 days a year schedule rotation
  • Document client issues
  • Use data analysis and laboratory simulations to identify and resolve customer reported problems.
  • Participate in a continuous improvement environment.
     

Requirements of the Technical Support Engineer

  • 2 year IT degree or equivalent job/industry experience
  • 2+ years of technical support or related experience in the following areas:
    • SQL
    • Networking
    • Server Support & Troubleshooting
    • Telephony IVR
  • Proprietary Software Support or Desktop Support
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A+ certification preferred
