Technical Customer Support Specialist (TCSS) / Help Desk / Food Safety

Pay Rate:  $25/hr

The ideal candidate for this position has an affinity for training and communicating with customers in a professional and timely manner.

This role is best suited for a natural problem-solver who works well with minimal supervision.

The Technical Customer Support Specialist (TCSS) will work directly with new client organizations primarily in the food safety industry to ensure proper onsite implementation of the remote monitoring technologies.

The TCSS will be the customer's direct point-of-contact, and will coordinate operational service issues by working with various departments.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee hardware installation, software set-up, and provide training directly to clients and support teams.
  • Provide ongoing training and troubleshooting support, as well as follow-up site visits.
  • Complete site visit reports, and consistently provide customer feedback to management.
  • Make recommendations to management for improving customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology or Science; Master's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent experience working in food processing, food safety, or food security will be considered.
  • 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting and/or training
  • Ability to travel up to 60% (car and air travel)

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and track many activities.
  • Strong desire to lead and learn in the area of IoT, DaaS and Business Model Innovation.
