Actuarial Analyst - Medical Costs

Job Description
Looking for someone with a BS degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field and 3 to 5 years of experience in actuarial work in health insurance, managed care or related consulting business.
In this role you will build strong relationships with Actuarial, Analytics, and Finance teams across the enterprise and participate in high-visibility impactful analysis supporting medical cost improvement strategies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze medical cost utilization and unit cost data
- Identify top trend drivers and affordability opportunities
- Evaluate program and initiative outcomes
- Use analytical and statistical software tools to summarize large amount of healthcare data
- Forecast and interpret financial results
- Analyze trends in spending and utilization using healthcare claims data.
- Produce actuarial reports
- Present results of analyses and recommendations to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in actuarial work in health insurance, managed care or related consulting business.
- Pursuing S.O.A. certification.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills.
