Job Description
REMOTE IN U.S. Opening with our healthcare client for an Actuary. Looking for someone with a BS degree and 5+ years of actuarial work experience in health insurance value-based contracting.
You will report to head of the actuarial department and you will be working as part of a team focused on value-based health insurance services. You will direct and supervise junior actuarial department personnel in the performance of duties.

You will report to head of the actuarial department and you will be working as part of a team focused on value-based health insurance services. You will direct and supervise junior actuarial department personnel in the performance of duties.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of financial analyses related to medical cost and utilization trend analysis
- Provide analytical support for rate development and filings
- Provide ad hoc data analysis to all departments within the company
- Develop mathematical models in connection with other departments to predict the impact of proposed changes to health care plans
- Present results of analyses and recommendations to management.
- Document methods, procedures and results.
- Prepare State and Federal filings. Including Federal Exchange, Pennsylvania Insurance Department Filings and Medicare Bid Submissions.
- Own management of projects, including deliverables and appropriate work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field
- 5+ years of experience in actuarial work in health insurance, managed care or related consulting business
- Must have actuarial experience in value-based contracting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- ASA certification
- SQL and Excel experience highly preferred
