Oxford Solutions has a direct hire opening with our client for an Associate Category Manager. 

In this role you will work under the direction of the Category Directory coordinating, communicating and managing the priorities of assigned categories of responsibility, to support category growth and sales performance measures for promotional products.

Overview of Associate Category Manager Role

• Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
• Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
• Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
• Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
• Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
• Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
• Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories
• Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business, merchandising, or related field required.
• Entry level with internship experience up to 2+ years of experience working with a promotional product line (merchandising, planning, forecasting, strategy)
• Experience in target customer and product trends
• Analytical mindset with a strategic ability
• Ability to understand information, develop insights and identify opportunities when analyzing large data sets
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
