Job Description
Currently have a direct hire opportunity with our client for a Civil Site Engineer. The preferred candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in either Ohio or Kentucky, with a demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in the field of civil engineering.
Essential Functions
Civil Site Engineer - 26449
- Develop comprehensive project plans, considering technical requirements, design specifications, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and assessments to gather crucial data for project planning and design.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, including site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, utility layouts, and roadways, utilizing industry-standard software.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and permits during the design and construction phases.
- Participate in project meetings, presenting design proposals, progress updates, and addressing technical inquiries.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project communication and collaboration.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to facilitate project communication and reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or Kentucky is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design and analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, and regulations related to site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering judgments.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting technical information and interacting with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Adaptability to evolving project requirements and a willingness to learn and apply new concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience with construction site inspections and familiarity with safety protocols.
