Job Description

Our client has a contract opening for a Continuous Improvement Manager.

In this role you are responsible for managing continuous improvement activities through the development and implementation of lean tools based on customer requirements, ensuring that benefits in safety, quality, costs, deliveries, and inventories are obtained. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead continuous improvement deployment 
  • Implement and generate cost reduction projects through the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Coordinate Kaizen events and ensure the closure of actions derived from them.
  • Champion 5S’s internal Audits program.
  • Coordinate the selection of critical equipment and processes plant wide with the Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Departments 
  • Support MESH Initiatives and Zero accident culture.
  • Provide training in basic and advanced Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Always promote a cultural change towards continuous improvement.
  • Analyze financial information in search of savings opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronic, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in continuous improvement and manufacturing engineering 
  • Experience in Solid Works and AutoCAD
  • Green Belt certification (desirable)
  • Cost Out projects experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience (VSM, TPM, 5S, SMED, Poka Yoke, etc.)
  • Six Sigma knowledge 
  • Negotiation skills and experience with suppliers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
