Controls Engineer

Job Description
In this Controls Engineer role, you are responsible for the design, development and troubleshooting of industrial control systems. Your role is to ensure that these systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely for the end user.
Essential Functions
- Design, Build, and Implement PLC and HMI programs.
- Troubleshoots problems with processes and hardware
- Plans preventive maintenance
- Coordinates with others in order to determine problems and implement solutions
- Provides technical assistance as needed by internal customers
- Manages relations with vendors
- Defines performance metrics
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 4 years of direct experience working as a PLC Controls EngineerÂ
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot machineryÂ
- Experience writing PLC & HMI programs required
- Programming and troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley PLCsÂ
- Excellent communication, customer-facing and presentation skills
- Up to 30% travel requiredÂ
