Opening with our client for a Cyber Security Analyst. Work from home schedule in Pittsburgh, PA region. Occasional need to work onsite for meetings, etc. a few time per year.
In this Cyber Security Analyst role you will investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents. You will install security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.

In this Cyber Security Analyst role you will investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents. You will install security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for information security tool alerts, triaging, and maintenance.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
- Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of security policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
- Stay current on Information Technology (IT) security trends and news
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security
- Perform penetration testing
- Bachelor’s degree
- CISSP or other cybersecurity certification a plus
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Cyber Security analyst or a similar role
- Foundational knowledge of security and privacy-related industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/2, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, PCI, HIPAA)
- Understanding of DevSecOps and network architecture
- Experience working with any of the following:
- Microsoft Azure and its security components.
- XDR tools and platforms
- Vulnerability management platforms
- Password management tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
