Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Description
Direct hire opening with our global architectural lighting manufacturing client for an Electrical Controls Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Provide customized solutions for complex lighting applications
- Ensure that all project information is well-documented
- Develop and test new control technology to meet growing market demands
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal and external customers
- Create technical documentation for installers as well as production workers to understand all aspects of control functionality
- Provide technical training where required
- Â Assist in product design and component selection
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, or similar technical degree
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic design
- Applied knowledge of electrical components and their functionality (sensors, relays, …)
- AutoCAD proficiency
- ERP system experience
- Experience with lighting dimming and communication protocols a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skillsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
