Electrical Designer

Job Description
Direct hire opportunity with our client for an Electrical Designer.
Essential Functions
- Design and develop layouts for electrical circuits
- Develop electrical load calculations for electrical equipment sizing
- Review client submittals and product data sheets to determine electrical requirements.
- Create drawings, and specify motor-control centers, switchboards, panelboards, and transformers.
- Determine conduit and wiring sizing
- Establish grounding and surge protection.
- Create schedules using CAD and Excel
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent from a college or technical school required
- Proven electrical design experience using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Revit knowledge a plus
- Solid understanding of Medium and Low Voltage, and of instrumentation such as flow meters, analyzers, and pressure transmitters
- Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints
- Good communication and technical writing skills
