Job Description
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder (Requires CUI and Trade Compliance Access). Hybrid role for someone in Overland Park, KS area (2 days in office/3 days remote/week)
In this role, the Systems Engineer will be involved in all stages of product lifecycle from initial capture of customer requirements through development and finally, deployment to the customer.
Looking for someone with extensive experience and built knowledge in electrical hardware design (specifically within the domain of Radio Frequency [RF] signal electronics and antennas) including in hardware, firmware and software Integration, Validation, Verification and Qualification (IVVQ) test environments.

Electrical Systems Engineer - 26042
In this role, the Systems Engineer will be involved in all stages of product lifecycle from initial capture of customer requirements through development and finally, deployment to the customer.

Essential Functions
- Development or Maintenance of specification, design, implementation, integration, and testing of NAVAID products
- Prepare schedule estimates based on proposed solutions Supports configuration management activities for design qualification testing
- Use reporting tools to document product issues
- Participate in integration of software and hardware
- Create, define, analyze, integrate and maintain overall System requirements
- Author test procedures, conduct integration, verification and qualification tests, record test results and author test reports
- Provides regular status reports to the project manager and/or project leader
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Systems, Electrical or Software Engineering, or another technical field with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in Systems, Electrical or Software Engineering, or another technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience Software and/or Electrical development design experience
- Proficient in the use of issue tracking software (e.g. Jira)
- Proficient in the use of requirement management tools (e.g. DOORS)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and update schematics
- Must be self-starter and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (domestics and international)
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to speak additional languages such as Italian, French, or German is a plus
- Experience with DOD and/or FAA Programs
