Job Description
New opportunity available with our client for an Environmental Engineering Specialist. Office is located in Homestead, PA area. For this role you will be conducting environmental field surveys in OH, PA, WV, or surrounding states.
Essential Duties
Environmental Engineering Specialist - 25945
Essential Duties
- Assist with environmental field surveys (i.e. wetland and stream delineations, endangered species surveys, environmental inspections, and compliance monitoring)
- Perform data collection using handheld GPS.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and associated environmental reports.
- Assist with transmission line siting investigations and siting documentation.
- BS/MS degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience conducting environmental field surveys
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, interpretations, and health and safety programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ArcGIS experience a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to travel, including overnight trips.
- Walid Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to hike moderate distances through rugged terrain and remote areas, etc.
