Job Description
Oxford Solutions has an opening with our client for a Chemist for a role concentrating on chemical export classification. Work from home 4 days a week/1 day onsite in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
This position requires use of, or access to, information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.
In this role you will be responsible for classifying goods, software, equipment, and technology based on the U.S. export control regulations.

In this role you will be responsible for classifying goods, software, equipment, and technology based on the U.S. export control regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and proper performance of various export classification tools
- Assist with the classification process of newly acquired companies.
- Maintain electronic or hard copy documentation for classifications in a timely fashion.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the classifications stored in the export jurisdiction and classification system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (e.g., chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology).
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Basic chemistry knowledge to interpret complex and technical export control regulations
- Strong technical skills and demonstrated computer proficiencies are required (e.g., Excel, Access, database management).
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly, excellent problem solving, decisiveness and critical thinking
- Knowledge of export compliance is a plus.
