REMOTE IN THE U.S. Direct hire opening for a Linux Service Manager.

Looking for someone with 10+ years of Linux experience managing cross functional global teams.

In this Linux Manager role you are responsible for planning, organizing, directing, staffing and controlling the people, processes, procedures, information services, projects and other company assets that are deployed in support of Linux functions.  

Responsibilities

• Oversee all IT services related to Linux technology including technology project related to global teams
• Provide Linux-based service and project delivery to stakeholders
• Manage project teams to meet project deliverables
• Work closely with IT and Business leaders to assess the technical feasibility, cost and resource requirements for proposed business initiatives and IT projects
• Lead, collaborate and influence business leaders to devise or modify processes and procedures to achieve desired results
• Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction for IT support and deliverables
• Partner and collaborate with Senior IT and Business leaders
• Manage technical, administrative and supervisory staff for IT function; set goals and conduct performance reviews for direct reports

Requirements and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
• 10+ years of IT experience, demonstrating increased levels of responsibility
• Experience developing SOX procedures and ensuring compliance 
• Linux HPC environment experience preferred
• 3 years of leadership experience, setting priorities and driving results (including working with globally dispersed teams)
• 3 years of experience leading or participating in cross functional projects and teams
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal,  and understanding multi-country, region culture environment
