Direct hire opening for a NOC (Network Operations Center) Analyst with our healthcare client. Must be able to work onsite in Oakland area of Pittsburgh area support rotating shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd).

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst performs technical analysis of system issues and outages as they occur across networks. You are responsible for maintaining a 24x7x365 network monitoring and break/fix environment for data and voice communication networks across the organization. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely responses to all network or security incidents, outages and performance alerts
• Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams
• Conducts specific procedures to proactively check the health and welfare of the applications and infrastructure
• Monitors system and application components and respond to alarms and traps
• Determines the severity of an incident and depending on the circumstances take immediate action to restore service or escalate as appropriate
• Requests involvement of the 3rd line engineering staff when required
• Requests involvement of the customer second and third tier support organization when appropriate
• Serves as the focal point for status information on the progress of the resolution effort
• Conveys status information to the customer designated personnel on a designated schedule
• Support multiple technical teams in 24 x 7 environment operational environments with high uptime requirements. Varied shift schedules may include day or evening hours.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 6 months+ network operations experience working with routers, switches, Firewalls, and Wireless devices.
• NOC experience preferred
• Experience in core IT Network / Subnet Masking
• Analytical skills and an understanding of Data Center networking.
• Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol (TCP and UDP).
• Cisco experience
• CCNA level certification preferred
• Excellent client facing and communication skills
