Job Description
Currently have a contract to hire opening with our client for a Mechanical Piping Design Engineer for a role focused on natural gas pipeline projects.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Initiate engineering calculations in conformance with project requirements
- Prepare equipment specifications and purchase requisitions
- Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients and other disciplines
- Conduct field investigation to obtain information to support project needs
- Maintain proper engineering files and records
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or related area
- 5+ years of mechanical piping engineering experience
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to design of Piping systems.
- Industrial equipment background
- Ability to read and understand equipment drawings and P & IDs
- Experience writing equipment specifications
- Understanding of ASME codes and industry standards
- Able to conduct field investigations to verify design conditions
