Job Description
Opening with our client located in Circleville, OH for a Process Control Engineer.
As a Process Control Engineer your role is ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of chemical processes. You will work in a plant environment and support projects related to chemical process control and instrumentation.
Essential Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain process control strategies and systems to optimize chemical manufacturing processes.
- Perform project management tasks including estimation, preparation of capital funding requests, spending management, preparation of bidding documents, specifying and procuring equipment
- Plan and schedule work, ensuring that all specifications and schedules are known and met
- Specify, install, configure, and maintain instrumentation devices and systems used in process control.
- Ensure that process control systems adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers and operators, to provide technical support and recommendations for process optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with process controls in the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemical process control principles and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of the maintenance and engineering of instrumentation/electrical devices, programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley), HMIs (GE), Ethernet protocols, and distributive control systems (Fischer/Emerson)
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the chemical industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
