• Develop and design protection and control systems for transmission and distribution projects up to 550kV.
• Develop protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Perform protective device coordination studies and relay setting calculations using power system analysis software.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Work with substation designers, project managers, and other engineers to ensure protection and control systems meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Provide support during installation, testing, and commissioning of protection and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to protection and control systems.
• Stay current with the latest P&C technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in P&C design for power transmission and distribution projects.
• Current Engineer-in-training certification required
• Strong understanding of protective relay principles, protective device coordination, and relay setting calculations.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation software for developing protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work extended hours or afterhours when required.
• Ability to travel to other offices and to meet with clients and attend project specific meetings on a regular basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AcSELerator relay software.
• Experience with relay setting calculations and relay testing.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Familiarity with substation design and construction practices.
