• Design transmission lines using industry-standard software tools, such as PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Perform line routing, structure spotting, and structure design for transmission line projects.
• Develop transmission line design drawings, material lists, and specifications.
• Work with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Conduct transmission line sag-tension calculations, clearance checks, and structure loading analyses.
• Develop construction and material cost estimates for transmission line projects.
• Perform quality control checks on transmission line design work.
• Review and approve transmission line design work prepared by other engineers or designers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, civil, mechanical engineering
• Prior transmission line engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of transmission line design principles and practices.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCadd, MicroStation
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to travel to other offices and client office locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience with other transmission line design software tools, such as TOWER 
• Familiarity with substation design and construction practices.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory requirements.
